About The Event
Did you know that there is estimated to be more than 27.6 million people — adults and children — subjected to human trafficking around the world, including in the United States. , 60% of human trafficking victims in the U.S. were involved in the foster care system at one time.According to the National Foster Youth Institute
January is human trafficking awareness month and we invite you to join us, along with our facilitator Tracy McQueen from Assist Indiana & JoCo Human Trafficking Task Force, as we learn more about how to spot the signs.
We will be discussing the following:
Define human trafficking
Outline key components of the Actions, Mean & Purpose (AMP) model
Identify youth populations most vulnerable to human trafficking
