Being a foster or kinship parent is hard.
It's easy to feel like you're walking this journey alone.
We get it. We understand.
We invite you to join us to UNITE.
Our goal is to connect you with supportive people,
help encourage relationships and walk alongside
your foster/kinship journey.
What to expect:
Each month we will meet in a casual environment to discuss a pre-arranged topic. Childcare will be offered in another room (must RSVP). We'll also have snacks, hot coffee and water.

*Support groups count toward DCS' required annual training hours. Certificates will be given at class end to attendees.
Foster Parents
Whether you are just starting your foster journey, or you're a foster parent of 20 years we invite you to join us. Nobody understands the highs & lows, ups and downs like peers that have walked in your shoes. We'll share stories and positively support each other through experiences, new and old.
Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, Close Family Friends, whatever relation you have with the child/ren you're raising, we understand there is another level of trauma you face on a daily basis. We want to help you in your journey. Along with a series of monthly topics, we'll aid you in finding the resources you need and introduce you to others experiencing similar situations.
